Still, we exchanged numbers before heading our separate ways. I briefly considered giving him the wrong number, assuming I'd never hear from him anyway. To my surprise, he texted me the very next day! What followed were hours of conversation, laughter, and getting to know one another. Ten years later, and blessed with a beautiful daughter, Tomel has proven to be more than I could have ever imagined.
