We got close at the green room getting ready for our first dance performance - I was fascinated by her poor jokes! And since then we have shared numerous fun times mostly celebrating Indian culture. I have known him his entire life and have watched him grow up into a person who I look up to even though I literally look down on him (he never grew taller than me despite the many false predictions). My best friend since 1994 and easily my favorite sister. We’ve done so much together— college classmates (Italian and Econ lol), graduating from UW, and even co-workers at Uncle Sal’s restaurant, traveling to Italy and Sweden. Unlimited funny memories from growing up with each other. Even though I love her very much I am still mad my parents gave her a cell phone before me because she was “more responsible”. Such a talented musician (hopefully brings her guitar to the wedding), but even better Don Corleone Godfather impersonator.

He was the best teacher I had growing up. The one who taught me how to literally do everything including playing Badminton, Cricket, Pokémon, and Drawing. We met through our PhD program and would hang out on the terrace eating ice-creams and talking about dating apps and relationships, but soon got disconnected due to covid. Almost 2 years later, when we reconnected, we both were in happy relationships and needed each other to get through the mystifying journey of a PhD. We share our love for ‘Sex and the City’ and Curries and love talking about mental health and life problems. I am always in awe of her wit and composed nature.

We could not find a more perfect person to officiate our wedding and call us “husband and wife”🤯 for the first time!!!🥰

Norah!! This little human came into my life through JoJo Christmas of 2020. I remember her being a little cautious at first but she quickly realized how similar we were! And now, I absolutely love her excitement whenever she sees me and would run a 100miles/hr to hug me🥺. I am blessed to have her in my life. She is one bright kid - extremely curious, loves reading and hooping, very creative and caring with a touch of sass! Little Shal and Norah would definitely have been best of friends.

My munchkin!!! Met her through her mom (Reji❤️, my PhD friend) in 2019 and it was an instant connection!
