Our love story is a journey marked by serendipity, adventure, and the blending of two families and traditions. It all began on September 2, 2022, in Charlotte, NC. Ranesha was at a day party celebrating the rivalry game between North Carolina A&T State University and North Carolina Central University, while Shalik was there for a friend’s birthday. In the midst of the excitement, Shalik approached Ranesha, and a simple exchange of numbers sparked a connection that would forever change both of our lives. That very weekend, even though Shalik had to leave for training, our conversation continued late into the night. One month later, we embarked on our first small road trip and date, and every subsequent adventure only deepened our bond. Our shared travels from the family reunion cruise in July 2023 to exploring Turks and Caicos, the Dominican Republic, New Orleans, New York, Vegas, Florida, Alabama, Germany, Paris, Italy, Spain and Hungary taught us that love grows stronger with every mile we journey together. Originally, Ranesha called Greensboro, NC home, while Shalik resided in Florence, SC. In April 2024, Ranesha made the move to Florence, a pivotal moment that brought our hearts and lives even closer. Our traditions began to weave together as Thanksgivings are spent with Ranesha’s family, and Christmas celebrations are with Shalik’s, each holiday a testament to our united future. On November 24, 2022, we officially became a couple, solidifying the love that had been growing since that unforgettable day in Charlotte. Just two years later, on November 28, 2024, Shalik proposed to Ranesha during a Thanksgiving celebration, right in front of her family. In that heartfelt moment, surrounded by love and the warmth of family, we knew our journey was just beginning. Every step of our story, from that fateful day party to the countless adventures we’ve shared, has led us to this beautiful chapter of commitment and celebration.
