Denny and Shakira met in 2020, at a time when neither of them expected that the person standing in front of them would end up becoming home. What started as a simple connection quickly turned into something that felt steady, safe, and a little bit like fate. From the beginning, they had big feelings, big laughs, and a shared sense that life was about to get a lot more meaningful. Over the years, they’ve been each other’s biggest supporters — through the messy, the beautiful, and everything in between. Together they chose a life of growth, faith, and sobriety, cheering each other on through every milestone (and celebrating with a lot more coffee and road trips than late nights out). They’ve built a life full of travel, family dinners, sports games, and the kind of laughter that makes people in the next room wonder what’s so funny. Denny proposed, Shakira said yes (very quickly), and the rest is history. Their relationship is rooted in friendship, resilience, and the shared belief that the best days are the ones they get to spend side by side — whether that’s exploring somewhere new or just deciding what to make for dinner.
