The Best Part

I met my husband in 2008 at the corrections academy in Tallahassee. At the time, there was nothing romantic about it. Just two people learning the same routines, facing the same challenges, and forming a genuine friendship. We hung out often, partied together, laughed together, and even went shopping together. We were simply friends, each dating other people, never imagining that our lives were quietly being woven together. Our friendship was easy and honest. There was no pressure, no pretending....just comfort and trust. Then one day, almost without warning, something shifted. A physical attraction surfaced for both of us, surprising in its timing but undeniable in its strength. What began as friendship slowly turned into something deeper, and before we knew it, we were dating. From that moment on, everything began to fall into place. Doors opened, paths aligned, and what could have felt rushed instead felt right. We truly believe it was God ordained. The Most High working behind the scenes, guiding us toward each other long before we ever realized it. It didn’t take long before we were talking about forever. Soon we were married, and eventually we moved back to my hometown to begin our life journey together. Even now, we look back in awe at how naturally it all unfolded. What once felt like coincidence is now clearly purpose. Our story is a reminder that sometimes the greatest blessings come quietly, wrapped in friendship, patience, and divine timing..... always part of The Most High’s greater plan.
