We met in 2011 while attending the University of West Alabama in Livingston, Alabama. A friend had asked me to go to a little gathering with her. I said yes, and it was there Philip and I met. We became good friends. We had a few disagreements with each other, but we stayed in touch throughout the years. In 2016 we reconnected and started dating. I joined Philip for his class reunion in Jackson, Alabama. During that weekend, we decided to officially begin a more serious relationship and have been together ever since.

The weekend of January 28, 2022, we went to New Orleans, Louisiana to celebrate Philip's birthday. On January 29, 2022 we attended the Pelicans vs Celtics basketball game. During the halftime show, Philip proposed. I was so surprised, because this weekend was all about celebrating Philip's birthday, but instead Philip decided to celebrate us.
