As college students at West Virginia State University Shakela and Jamar had no desire to find love. Jamar, a football player and father to his 3 year old son Jevonn, only wanted to finished school and head back home to California. Shakela was a Senior with only 2 months from graduating and ready to take on the real world as a social worker. The two saw each other frequently on campus and occasionally engaged in small talk. As Shakela chatted with friends in the student union Jamar asked a question that seemed so innocent at the time "where's the party at tonight?" No party was established however, Shakela made sure to be seen nearly every day as Jamar continued his daily routine with going to the Cafe. For a few weeks the two flirted on social media, liking each other's pictures. After some small talk - Jamar gave Shakela his number and made her wait until the next morning before he responded, claiming to have had a dead battery. If you know Jamar waiting 12 hours for a reply is pretty common. Jamar knew he wasn't good at communicating via text so he invited Shakela over to chat. The two stayed up until the next morning conversing and finding out that had a lot more in common than they ever expected. They shared information they had never told anyone. The two completely hit off and were inseparable. The summer of 2016 Shakela packed her bags waving fairwell to her closest friends and family in West Virginia to close the gap to their long distance relationship. In March of 2020 the two celebrated their 6 year anniversary at Avlia Beach. As the sunset Jamar ask Shakela to spend the rest of her life with him. They are so excited and can't wait to share their special day with you.
