The dress code is Black Tie Invited for the wedding day events. We welcome guests to wear tuxedos and formal gowns, but they are not required by guests. Suit/tie and cocktail dresses are certainly appropriate. There are no specific dress code requirements for the Thursday night welcome party. Men are welcome to wear jackets/sport coats but they are definitely not required; a collared shirt or polo will do just fine!
Yes, there is plenty of on-site parking for the ceremony and reception (both are at the same venue). Villa Montalvo has ample parking available across three lots available to guests including Lot 2 (to the right of the Historic Villa) as well as Lots 3 + 4 to the left. If you have any kind of mobility issues, let the facility team know upon arrival and they will assist you to ceremony. Cars can be parked at Villa Montalvo over night. However, they must be moved by 10am the following morning (Sat 10/12).
Yes, shuttles will pick guests up at 3pm at Hotel Los Gatos and Toll House Hotel and drop them off directly at the venue (Villa Montalvo). The same transport service will deliver guests back to those hotels after the wedding reception (10pm end). Guests who are not staying at these two hotels are still welcome to take the shuttle - please meet at Hotel Los Gatos at 3pm for the pick up. Uber and Lyft should also be readily available between your place of stay and the wedding venue.
We have provided some nearby hotel options that are recommended by our venue and/or that we have personally vetted - including a block of rooms at discounted rates at Toll House Hotel (discount available until 9/10/24) and Hotel Los Gatos. Refer to our Travel page for more details. Please don’t feel obligated to stay at any of these places - they have been suggested due to their central location to our Thursday night event and wedding venue, and because we will be coordinating transportation to/from Hotel Los Gatos and Toll House Hotel on the day of the wedding for our guests’ convenience. Airbnb and VRBOs are also available in the area, but may not be as conveniently located.
Yes! We will be hosting a Welcome Event the night before (Thursday night) for all guests at Enoteca La Storia in Los Gatos. We would love to spend some extra time with you all, so if you’re able to make it, please join us. See our Schedule page for additional details.
Depending on your travel plans, it may be helpful to have a rental car but it won’t be necessary. Uber and Lyft should be easily available between all Bay Area airports to your place of stay and to/from the wedding venue.
We’re expecting a warm day with cooler temperatures in the evening. The weather tends to remain warm (think highs in the 70s/low 80s) well into October in the Bay Area. We will be hosting the ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner outdoors, with desserts and dancing inside the Historic Villa. We recommend a jacket for the evening hours, as the temperature can cool quickly after sunset.
We will have plenty of options for food, including vegetarian, red meat, fish and other exciting selections. In addition, the entirety of the event will have appropriate options available for guests to account for dietary restrictions. We ask that you please note those in your RSVP so we may accommodate appropriately.
