Shaina first met Sam in May of 2021 on a coffee date overlooking the Stillwater River. She was later asked to marry Sam at that same location in December of 2024.

Kayla is the twin of the bride. They have been inseparable since day one, dating back to 1998.

Kirsten met Shaina in 2021 after Sam and Shaina started dating. They became close friends quickly after! Kirsten once said "If Sam doesn't marry you, I will."
