Joshua and I met at Edward's AFB first time on New Year's Eve 2019. My gym access was not working. Josh saw that I was struggling and quickly ran over to help me. He explained that my card had likely needed to be reset, and offered to let me "this one time". On my way to the gym after work a few days later, I remembered I had not gotten around to getting my CAC reset. I called a friend who lived on base to see if she could come let me in, but she was out running errands. I almost just went home because I didn't want to run into that "judgy" (Josh says he was just trying to act like he didn't want my number) guy from a few days ago. After Sam's reassurance that someone would let me in, I decided to just go to the gym. Josh and I ran into each other in the weight room. Neither of us had headphones that day. He approached me and struck up conversation. He accompanied me around the weight room for a while, and eventually asked for my number. We went on our first date the very next day...I'm not very good at playing hard to get.
