“There are too many memories to name one as my favorite. Collectively, I’d like to say that my favorite memory, which embodies all of them, are the ones where we spent countless moments laughing at jokes that only Shaina and I could understand. Moments where if we spoke, anyone else would look at us crazy, but we just knew exactly what each other meant. Moments where we didn’t need to speak aloud, because we knew what each other were thinking. This goes back to when I met Shaina on the track team at Hoover, and there was a joke she said to Cybreena and I at track practice. It’s crazy, I don’t remember the joke, but I specifically remember this moment because it was the start of our friendship. In this moment I realized, “We’re going to get along just well.” Who would know many years from now that I would call Shaina my best friend. Thank you for the many memories, the many joyful moments, the many times where we understood and didn’t need to explain. And here’s to many more!”

“My favorite memory is hearing about a girl named Shaina who did braids and getting her to do my hair Freshman year. Sitting in her chair that day I had no idea that she would become one of my best friends, line sisters, and now that I’d be walking in her wedding! My favorite memory is going to visit Shaina at her new home during Covid and having a Galentine’s Party. It was just me and my girls, and Shaina was the best weekend host. We watched movies, made TikTok’s and had matching pajamas. It just confirmed that even after moving to NY and not seeing each other often after college, that she was truly my forever sister and friend.”
