We love all the little ones in our lives, but we've decided to make our wedding an adults-only celebration. We want our guests to relax, have fun, and fully enjoy the evening without having to worry about little ears or eyes around. Our reception will include an open bar, and we are planning to have some lively activities that are geared toward adults. We hope you can join us for a fun, carefree night of celebration!!!!
Michael and I had always known of each other, but we didn’t really know each other! I had seen Mike on Sami’s Instagram story a week or two before I decided to message him on Instagram. After seeing Mike’s picture, I couldn’t stop thinking about him. I know it sounds a bit strange, but something was telling me I needed to reach out to him. So, being the brave soul that I am, I sent him a message saying, “Heyyy” — yes, three Y’s, not four, because I didn’t want to come on too strong. What felt like hours (but was only two minutes) went by before he finally replied with a simple “Hey.” Since I’m so slick, I suggested we should catch up. It must have worked because we spent the next day or two planning when to go on a date. We finally settled on June 17th, which also happened to be the firefighters’ chicken BBQ! I got ready for the day, as I had some things to do before our first date. But around 5 o’clock, when I hadn’t heard back from Mike, I started to think I’d been ghosted. So, I went out to an after-graduation party with some friends. Just as I was about an hour away from home, Mike texted, asking, “You still want to go on that date?” I wanted to grab my keys and head back immediately, but since I was with friends, I couldn’t leave. So, I suggested we take a rain check. Fast forward to June 20th — after work, we decided to go to Buffalo Wild Wings for our first date. I’d love to say neither of us was nervous, but… when Mike was driving, he happened to stop at a green light. I like to bring that up whenever he criticizes my driving! After dinner, we didn’t want to part ways. We were having such great conversation and enjoying each other’s company. So, what did we do? We went to Stockyard. For anyone who doesn’t know, Stockyard is a piece of land where they keep some of their cows. Mike and I danced to some music, talked a lot, and befriended a cow named Brad. I knew from that first date that I was going to marry that man. And now, here we are, creating a wedding website together!
