Our love story
Shailee joined F45 at the end of 2022 and treated it like a drive-through, arriving a minute before class and leaving the second it ended. No chatting, no lingering, firmly in her “no dating” era. Manit, meanwhile, was the unofficial mayor of F45, singing and dancing between sets and friends with everyone.
One day, Shailee showed up to class in a UConn t-shirt, matching one of Manit's friends. It was the first time she spoke to anyone at the gym, and Manit swears it was the first time he saw her smile.
Friendly hellos turned into real conversations. On the night of the semifinals, they watched the Uconn game at Legends, the NYC UConn alumni HQ. When UConn won, Shailee turned to plan the next stop, unaware that Manit had already been invited by her friends to join (shoutout the movie Hitch for inspiring Manit, you know what I'm saying).
They talked for hours and knew this was something different. Gym classes turned into walks, walks into coffee dates, and friendship into love ❤️
