Somewhere between two continents, two cities, and two very different accents, our story began. Shai grew up under the bright South African sun, where life moves a little slower, family dinners stretch late into the evening, and the mountains meet the ocean in Cape Town. Sonya grew up in New York, in a Russian Jewish household where toasts and caviar filled every celebration. Their worlds could not have been farther apart geographically, but they were built on remarkably similar foundations: close families, deep Jewish roots, and a shared belief that life is meant to be lived fully - and with the people you love most. Like many modern love stories, it started with a swipe. Shai and Sonya met on Hinge in New York - one of those small, seemingly ordinary moments that quietly changes everything.
