We are limited by the venue to a specific number of guests. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your online wedding RSVP and a plus one where indicated.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

The wedding & reception will be at Villa Cora, a beautiful 5-star luxury hotel situated on a private estate overlooking the city of Florence. The Villa can accommodate most, if not all of our guests! We arranged discounts for all guests who wish to stay there! For instructions to book with our special discounted rates, navigate to the 'Book Villa Cora' page on our website to make a reservation. While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time for child care and leaving the children at home so you can celebrate with us.

Everyone is invited to our Welcome Dinner at the beautiful countryside Villa Tolomei on Thursday, October 2nd from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. Address is listed on the schedule of events on the webite.

What should I wear?

Answer

Our wedding will be a black-tie event. A tux, suit & tie, or sports jacket are appropriate for men. Formal floor length dresses, gowns, or formal cocktail dresses are appropriate for women. While black dresses are absolutely appropriate for a black-tie wedding, we just wanted to share that the bridesmaids will be wearing black. If you'd like to stand out a bit more in photos, feel free to choose a different color-but please wear whatever makes you feel your best!

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Should be typical fall weather - sunny days and cool nights. During the first week of October 2024, the daytime weather was mild & pleasant. Daytime temps ranged from 61 to 78 degrees F. Evenings ranged from 45 to 58 degrees F. Pack a light jacket/sweater/coat for evenings and outdoor events.

Will the ceremony & reception be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will take place in an outdoors on the Villa grounds & the reception will be held indoors in the ballroom.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

On the day of the wedding, we recommend that you arrive between 3:45 and 4:00 pm to enjoy apéritifs and to make sure everyone is seated on time. The wedding ceremony will begin at 4:15 pm sharp. Please be on time.

How do I get to the wedding venue?

Answer

Taxi's in Florence are widely available and inexpensive IF you call ahead of time. If you staying at a hotel other than Villa Cora, contact your hotel concierge or arrange for transportation to the wedding ahead of time. The address for Villa Cora is: Viale Machiavelli 18, 50125 Firenze It's a short drive to Villa Cora from the city center. To book a taxi, download the "App Taxi" or "TaxiMove" app. These are the go-to-apps for booking Taxi's in Florence. You can also call (use WhatsApp) +39-055-4390 or +39-055-4242 or +39-055-4499 to order a taxi. You can use your Uber app but the cost is high in Florence.

Valet parking is available for guests who have rented cars.

Yes, dinner will include a 5 course meal service from Villa Cora.

Will there be any vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free or special diet options?

The chef at Villa Cora can accommodate dietary restrictions if notified in advance (6 weeks before October 4, 2025). Please send any dietary restrictions to sheilarabbasi@gmail as soon as possible.
