FAQs

Question

When should I reserve my room by?

Answer

Our 8/31 room block booking deadline has passed. You may reach out to our Wedding Specialist (reference Travel section) to inquire about availability with our resort.

Question

What dates should I book my room for?

Answer

In order to partake in the pre-wedding festivities, we recommend one of the following options: Jan 29 - Feb 2 (4 nights) Jan 30 - Feb 2 (3 nights) Justin and Shaene will be on site Jan 28 - Feb 2

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Your room booking will serve as your RSVP, but November 1st will be the final deadline to be included in the guest list.

Question

Do you have flight recommendations?

Answer

Please visit the travel section of this site. We recommend setting Google flight alerts right away and booking between September and October in order to get the most savings on your flight.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love kids, this will not be a kid-friendly event (with the exception of a Jr. Bridesmaid and Ring Bearer). Our own kiddo's won't be there either (though we will miss them!). *Please reach out if you have extenuating circumstances

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Classy and Sassy! We want you to feel comfortable and fabulous. Wear what you want as long as you feel fantastic and ready to dance!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please do! We will have a set menu, but will reach out to our coordinator to accomodate any allergy restrictions. Please let us know as early as possible so we can make sure you enjoy your meal!

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Please reference the Schedule section of this site for planned activities.

Question

Will there be an open bar at the wedding?

Answer

Our whole vacation together will be open bar (including the Wedding)! HOWEVER most of us will arrive at the resort a few days ahead, so PLEASE PACE YOURSELF. We will have plenty of time to enjoy ALL that's included in the All-Inclusive.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

While still tropical and humid, January and February are a more comfortable mid 70s-80s during the day and 60s at night. We'd recommend brining a light jacket or sweater to make sure you're not cold, but expect to be comfortably warm.

Question

Are the Venues all outdoors? What if it Rains?

Answer

Yes, all venues are outdoors. If it's rainy... we will get wet! If the weather becomes too stormy and windy, the resort has arranged backup indoor locations that we will move the events to.

Question

What about those of us who cannot attend? Will you host something locally?

Answer

While we'd love it if everyone could vacation in luxury with us, we totally understand if you cannot. We may host an "at home" celebration after the wedding has taken place and will keep everyone posted on those plans as they form. Otherwise, let's plan a time to celebrate individually!

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes, you do! If you need to renew or get a new passport, please do so ASAP

Question

What if I want to stay elsewhere?

Answer

Arranging your accommodation with us at the Hyatt Ziva is recommended. Since our venue is an All-Inclusive resort, where many activities will take place leading up to the wedding, we want to ensure everyone can fully participate. If staying with us is not an option for you, temporary access for offsite guests is available for a 5-hour period on the day of the wedding. You may also purchase a day pass on the days we have onsite activities planned (currently, the day passes range in cost from $200-300 per person per day). Please reach out to the bride or groom directly to make these arrangements.
