Like many modern love stories, ours began with a simple swipe… and thankfully, we both swiped right (clearly we have great taste). What started as a match online quickly turned into something neither of us could ignore. Our first date was at New Realm Brewery on December 18, 2022, and it didn’t take long for us to realize this was something special. Just a couple weeks later, on January 1, 2023, Michelle made it official and asked Shaelynn to be her girlfriend which was the best way to start a new year. Michelle was the first to say “I love you,” but Shaelynn had a very serious rule: no saying it back until the relationship made it past the infamous “three-month curse” that had haunted her past relationships. Even though she waited to say it out loud, she knew she loved Michelle long before then. Fast forward to January 2, 2025, when Michelle proposed on a beautiful Christmas light-filled walkway moment straight out of a movie. Until Shaelynn noticed something even more unforgettable- their friend hiding in the bushes wearing a white coat trying to capture the proposal on video. This was romantic, hilarious, and perfectly “us.” Now, we’re so excited to celebrate our love with all of our favorite people, and we couldn’t imagine a better place to do it than the beach, our happy place. We can’t wait to say “I do” and start our forever together.
