Welcome to our wedding website!

We're excited to share our special day with you. Explore details, RSVP, and join us in celebrating this beautiful journey!

How We Met

Our love story actually began with a simple swipe. We matched on Hinge and soon after had our first date at Highbank Distillery (where we will be having our rehearsal dinner at!). During the pandemic times of not being able to go anywhere without a mask, Shae started off strong by forgetting to bring one after already running a few minutes late. This was the beginning of Will forever coming in to save the day as he had an extra, and the dinner was back on! We ordered a plate of nachos that we barely touched. Both of us were too busy hitting it off and sharing stories (or too nervous to make a mess with the massive pile of guac). After finding out we had multiple friends in common and went to the same parties in college, we were thankful we were finally brought together.

The Dating Chapter

After one year of dating, we began to know that this relationship was going to be end game. We moved into an apartment together in Grandview near all our friends. Before you know it, we welcomed another into our growing family... our dog, Nala! Together we were able to potty train a golden retriever puppy in the middle of winter from the fourth floor. It wasn't easy, but it was reassuring to have accomplished raising the best dog ever together. Traveling is very important to the both of us! We started a new tradition of going on a trip in between our birthdays! We made long lasting memories in Colorado, Mexico, and New Orleans! We hope to continue this throughout of life together, and are grateful for these experiences.

The Engaged Chapter

During an anniversary weekend in Chattanooga, we got engaged! We were on a beautiful pedestrian bridge over the river when Will got on one knee. Shae, being so shocked, immediately said "YOU'RE LYING!" After not thinking she'd cry, the tears were flowing faster than the river beneath us. Due to both of us being in graduate school, we decided to wait until graduating to tie the knot! We had almost two years of calling each other "fiance" until we finally get to say "husband" and "wife." We enjoyed this time together for (mostly) stress-free wedding planning and celebrating with friends and family. This wedding day has been a long time coming, and we cannot wait to celebrate with everyone we love!
