Hi everyone, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share some difficult news regarding Shae and Tom’s upcoming wedding in Portugal this September. As many of you know, our family has been grieving the loss of our father since January. After much reflection, Shae and Tom have realized that by September, they will still not be in a place to celebrate such a significant milestone without him there. Because of this, they have made the incredibly difficult decision to cancel their wedding. Luckily, before he passed away, Shae and Tom were able to have a small ceremony with our Dad present after the holidays so he was able to see them get married. At this time, we are not sure what the future holds—I personally hope they consider rebooking in 2027 or perhaps plan something smaller and more local when the time feels right. However, they are not yet in the headspace to make those decisions. Whenever we do get the chance to properly celebrate Shae and Tom – everyone receiving this email will of course be invited to that event as well. We are all so deeply sorry for the disruption this causes to your travel plans and for the short notice. I hope you can understand that this comes from a place of needing peace and space to grieve.
