It all began on December 26th, 2015, at a cozy (blaringly loud) hometown bar called Crafted Keg (RIP). John and Shae, two familiar souls who hadn't yet met, found each other that night under twinkling lights and the hum of good conversation. What started as a spark quickly kindled into something deeper. By March 26th, 2016, they were officially a couple, navigating the challenges of a long-distance relationship through college. Miles apart but emotionally intertwined, their love was built on late-night calls, spontaneous visits, and a fierce commitment to each other. After graduation, they planted roots together in Nashville. Through the uncertainty of the pandemic and the weight of Shae's night shifts at the hospital, they weathered storms side by side. It wasn’t always easy, but love rarely is. And still, they grew stronger. They rescued a sweet pup named Elliott, adding even more love (and fur) to their life. Together, they created a home, a rhythm, a future. Then came March 10th, 2025. In Asheville, a place filled with memories and meaning, John got down on one knee at the Biltmore Estate and asked Shae to spend forever with him. She said yes.
