Is the ceremony and reception at the same location?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are both taking place at the gorgeous Kansas City, Powell Botanical Gardens. The ceremony will be at the Powell Chapel @ 4:30pm and the reception will be in the Grand Hall after. Signs will be posted on site for easy driving directions.

Is there parking on site?

Answer

Yes. The Powell Chapel and the Grand Hall each have parking lots for the guests. After the ceremony at the Powell Chapel guest will drive to the reception site in the Grand Hall.

Can we bring our own alcohol?

Answer

No. There will be an open bar (beer, wine, and cocktails) for the first hour of the reception, after that all drinks will be available for purchase.

Can I come early?

Answer

Yes! We highly encourage you to come early and run around the many gardens and lakes. Let the gatekeeper know you are our wedding guest and they will direct you in. Just a reminder though - the ceremony starts at 4:30pm @ the Powell Chapel.

Why KC?

Answer

Since we are currently calling North Carolina home, we chose Kansas City as a central location to accommodate both of our families and relatives who will be traveling.

Can I bring my own plus one?

Answer

Unless your invite is addressed to you +guest then you cannot bring your own plus one. Please do not ask.
