We (known to many as Shae-J) met in high school when we were both 17 years old. After graduating, we each pursued creative endeavors at Columbia College in Chicago—A.J. majoring in audio acoustics, and Shae in illustration. We started our life together in Evanston, IL, and continue to nurture our passions in music and art.
These days, a perfect day for us is a bike ride up the lakefront trail, sharing a delicious meal with family or friends, and relaxing at home with our cat, Callie. We want to bring that same energy to our wedding day.
Through nearly 17 years of love and friendship, we’ve learned that it takes patience, kindness, perseverance, and a good sense of humor to grow a strong and lasting partnership.
Always enjoying each other’s company, we’ve woven our families and friendships together and are deeply grateful for the community that will join us on our special day.
