Our suggestions for areas/neighborhoods are Main Street District between Blanding St and Gervais Street Blocks, The Congaree Vista, Shandon Neighborhood, Wales Garden Neighborhood, Forest Acres, the Avenues of Cayce/West Columbia(we live here) and Anything on or Near Lake Murray (beautiful but will be at least 20min drive to the venue but uber/lyft is usually available)
