FAQs

Question

What date do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

We ask that you please RSVP by August 1, 2026. Early RSVPs are very helpful.

Question

What is the attire?

Answer

The attire is black tie--tuxedos or black suits for men, and floor-length gowns or upscale cocktail dresses for women.

Question

Will the wedding be outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors, but it should only take about 30 minutes, and fans will be provided to guests if it is hot. The reception will be indoor/outdoor, and there are outdoor fans.

Question

Do you have hotel recommendations?

Answer

A room block with discounted rates is available at the Omni. You can reserve the room block by calling 1-888-261-6161 and referring to the group name McWey & Baajour event or booking through this link: https://bookings.omnihotels.com/event/amelia-island/mcwey-baajour-wedding#offer-container. If you have any trouble booking, please contact Emily or Shadi. Please note that the room block requires booking by 5:00PM EST on August 25, 2026.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! Transportation will be provided to and from the Omni.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Unfortunately, as much as we love kids, this will be a child-free wedding (with the exception of a few close family members' children, who were included on the invitation/save the dates). Kids can join the welcome party, but please let us know if you plan to bring children.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Everyone who is invited has received an invitation. If you need clarification, please reach out to Emily or Shadi.

Question

Will there be parking at the wedding?

Answer

There will be some parking spots available, but parking is limited. Please let us know when you RSVP if you plan to park at the wedding.

Question

Is smoking allowed?

Answer

If you need to smoke during the wedding, please do so under the port-way outside. This will be a dedicated smoking area, otherwise, please do not smoke within the wedding premises.

Question

How can I give a gift?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with you! While nothing is expected, in lieu of traditional gifts and registry, we’d be grateful for contributions to our honeymoon fund as we embark our first adventure as a married couple! Contributions can be sent: 1. Via Zelle to erm106@georgetown.edu or baajourshadi@gmail.com 2. Via Venmo to @Emily-McWey or @Shadi-Baajour 3. Via the registry page
