During March 2018 Shadia was in Destin, FL through a work and travel program and Henry was living in Panama City Beach, FL. We started talking via a dating app (yeah, that one... Tinder!). After about three weeks of constant online talking, we had our first date at the Destin Harbor Boardwalk. We held hands and walked the Boardwalk talking non-stop about our interests in life. We took a sight seeing Dolphin Cruise and got dinner that night. It was this night at the Harbor that we had our first kiss and our connection to each other has been strong ever since. _______________________________________ En marzo del 2018, Shadia estuvo en Destin, Florida por un programa de intercambio cultural. Henry estaba viviendo en Panama City Beach. Comenzamos a hablar por medio de una dating app (Sí, la que están pensando, ¡Tinder!) Después de tres semanas de constante comunicación, tuvimos nuestra primera cita, en el Harbor Boardwalk de Destin. Nos cogimos de las manos y caminamos por todo el lugar. Hablamos sin parar de nuestros intereses en la vida. También fuimos a un crucero de delfines y cenamos juntos. Fue esa noche que tuvimos nuestro primer beso, y desde ahí la conexión entre nosotros sólo ha ido creciendo.

On April 8th, 2019 on our one year anniversary, Henry planned a date to a local restaurant called Runaway Island. This particular place is the same place we had discussed where we might want to get married someday. After dinner we took a walk on the beach at sunset and once the moment was perfect Henry got down on one knee, pulled out a ring and the proposal he had written out of his pocket and he proposed to Shadia the love of his life right then and there. She said yes! Both had tears of happiness in their eyes. _______________________________________ En Abril 8 del 2019, en nuestro primer aniversario. Henry planeó una cita en un restaurante llamado Runaway Island. Este lugar en particular es el mismo lugar que habíamos conversado antes, que quisiéramos tener nuestra boda algún día. Después de una cena en este lugar, fuimos a caminar por la playa, justo cuando estaba el atardecer. Cuando el momento fue perfecto, Henry se arrodilló y sacó un anillo de su bolsillo. También sacó un papel en donde había escrito toda una propuesta a Shadia. Ella dijo que sí! Los dos tenían lagrimas saliendo de sus ojos.
