Matron of Honor
Meet my Matron of Honor -Nadia Smith - We met on Day 1 and been in each others lives ever since! My most favorite memories of us growing up is running away from our dad when we were in trouble, all the time! We both would get sent to our rooms and we would open our doors and sit by the entrance and just laugh together until we got in trouble again…for being too loud. Shocker! She has an infectious laugh and always lights up the room with her energy. I am sure you will all get a chance to share a laugh with her as well. Seeing as she’s my sister, I’ve known her my whole life and couldn’t imagine having anyone else standing by my side on my wedding day.

Meet Rebekah, the little sister to my soon to be husband! *Definitely the better looking sibling* I first met Rebekah when Aamer and I began to become more serious about the future of our relationship. I did not know this yet but Aamer was already talking to Rebekah about marrying me. So she knew just how serious meeting me was! Needless to say, I gave the best first impression and now we are both very excited to become sisters! I am more excited about being her sister than I am being Aamer’s wife! In such a short time we have created an unbreakable bond that only sisters share. Having her as my new sister is the best thing that has ever happened to me, gaining a husband is a bonus too.

Erica and I met in undergrad at East Carolina University when she and I joined the Lambda Mu Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. The Greatest sorority in the world! She was the President and I was the Vice President of our chapter. This was the beginning of our friendship but we have made so many memories together. Erica prefers nights in watching murder mysteries or snapped but I occasionally trick her into going hiking with me.

I met Amber 6 years ago when she became my colleague at Saylor physical therapy. Amber was born and raised in Vermont and did her graduate work at Northeastern University in Boston Massachusetts. She has every bit of that northern confidence and sass too! I remember thinking “who’s this chick from Boston?” They say some of the best things in life come when you least expect it. That’s fitting for our relationship to say the least. Our initial reservations towards one another quickly fell and our friendship ever since has been one of sincerity and honesty. She’ll be the first to tell me what I need to hear but don’t always want to. I love that she says what she means and means what she says and I wouldn’t want her any other way!

I met Shadia in 2006 will attending East Carolina University and have been pit bulls, I mean best friends ever since. We have a friendship that has stood the test of time (nearly 15 years) and all of them have been filled with unquestionable loyalty, kindness, and mutual selflessness. Shadia is the meaning of “ride or die” and I am so excited to share in this wonderful next chapter with her.

I met Shadia at the gym, we hung out a few times and we have been best friends since. I actually can't seem to get rid of her Now I want to tell you a story about the night Shadia left me at the airport. I was flying back into the US and coordinated with Shadia to pick me up from the airport, Friday night, 10 pm. Everything was set. Friday night came, Shadia said, hey I'm going to dinner, let me know when your flight lands and I'll be on my way My flight lands, I call Shadia. No answer No worries. I still have to get off the plane, go to baggage claim Hey, I got my bag, I'm going to wait for you outside {Nothing} I'm outside {Nothing} I'm going to get an Uber and go to the hotel {Nothing} She left me......at the airport! Turns Out, it was a first date and they are getting married :)
