FAQs

We plan to add FAQ to this page as needed. If you have additional questions other than what is listed, please feel free to contact Shae or Jader individually. Once we begin getting closer to the date (around October), please reach out to our Wedding Coordinator, Jessica Martinez Castillo.
Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Historically, high is 71 degrees while low is 51 degrees. It is encouraged to bring a jacket. Neither ceremony or reception venues will have a coat check so please plan accordingly.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures for around an hour. Guests can head straight to The Catalina Room where we will be serving appetizers and beverages for Cocktail Hour.

Question

Will there be transportation to and from ceremony and reception venues?

Answer

No. Please plan accordingly with your own vehicle or rental vehicle. We do not recommend ride share from ceremony to reception venue as Wayfarers Chapel is along the coast and there are not many ride shares active in that area.

Question

How long of a drive is it from the ceremony to reception venue?

Answer

Wayfarers Chapel to The Catalina Room is about 25-30 minutes.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

To ensure the enjoyment of all our guests (including parents) and an evening of worry-free merriment, the ceremony and reception will be adults only.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Absolutely! We encourage guests to post on social media channels, our only request is you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #CheersToChaves and #Shader so we can keep track of all your posts!
