Maid of Honor / Soul Sister
Sam's numero uno. The rock to her roll. Gracelyn and Sam met at the ripe age of five in Kindergarten when they decided to play checkers using a chess board and the rest is history. Instantly best friends and what felt more like long lost sisters, Sam spent a large portion of her childhood at Gracelyn's house and was welcomed into her family with open arms. No matter how much time may pass as they're busy living their own lives, they always pick up exactly where they last left off. It's safe to say Grace knows Sam better than anyone. She has been her biggest supporter, has a huge heart, and had an enormous role in the planning and execution of our wedding (really, Sam would not have been able to do it without her).
Ian Harned
Best Man / Little Brother
Little Chief, The Coolest Little Brother, The Flash.... most importantly Joe's best friend/partner in crime. The dynamic duo are a mere 2 years apart in age and have been inseperable their entire life (Think "Peyton and Eli Manning", thats what they used to call them in high school). Master of any sport, fast as the wind, world traveler, Ian might be younger but he can do anything and contiunes to be an inspiration. He has a beautiful family, going to be shaping the youth as a P.E. teacher, and is serving the country on top of it all. Joe thinks the world of him, and could not have a better brother than Ian!
Sarah Seay
Bridesmaid / Aquatics Hobbyist
Sam's real sister and lifelong role model. Sarah was born blonde but should have been red from the start. Horse aficionado and general badass, Sarah lives by her own rules, and already has the secret to life figured out (pretty sure it involves ferrets). Sarah runs her own small time aquarium of African Ciclaids and is also an expert ferrier. Her and Sam share a love of animals, and has the coolest kid known to man: Sam's niece Natasha AKA "Tash". Sarah is down to earth, and always serves as a source of guidence for Sam. While growing up, Sam only wanted to do and be exactly like Sarah (and still does). She now lives in Raleigh and works for Duke. Sarah hopes to one day have her own horse farm, and Sam looks up to her more than she knows.
Ben Carter
Groomsman / Benny-Boy
First and foremost this is one cool dude.... No really, he can fix your HVAC! This guy is part of the OG crew at the Gulf Docks where Joe & Sam's relationship all began. What started out as just a summer job down on the waterfront for a kid from Greenville and the other from Pine Level, would turn into a brotherhood. Benji and Joe became tight friends quickly with passions for catching fish, hunting ducks or deer, and of coarse: Boats. Even though he's down in Sneads Ferry, weekly fishing conversations still take place and they make the most of their time on the water. * Ben's black lab Pupp was scheduled to be the flower girl but was quite jealous that her red headed man was going off the market, so she politely declined.
Carly Jo Bolster
Bridesmaid / Certified Hype-maid
The living, breathing definition of a hype-maid. Carly is nothing but fun and instrumental in many of Sam's best memories. She was even her prom date. Friends since they were fourteen, Carly keeps Sam in check and always reminds her how to kick back and enjoy life. Even though her and Sam continue to grow older, they will never (ever) stop having fun. Carly also got Sam a job at the gulf docks so many years ago, so technically Sam would have never met Joe without her!! Bonus points: Carly is an incredible hair stylist, and a new mother to the cutest baby girl on the face of the planet.
Will Faircloth
Groomsman / The Fuzz
Willy, always has been the life of the party and one of Joe's funniest friends. They go back to recreation sport days but spent much more time off the ball field and in the woods or fishing as they got older. Will and Joe have stayed tight despite getting to be "old men" and living further apart. When he isn't keeping the streets of Smithfield safe, he still likes to fish when he can but he is also the best cheer dad you will meet (ask him to do a cartwheel). He has two girls, Aubrey & Cambrey, and his wife Hayley is the one who really keeps him from being the wild man he once was. It is always and adventure when Willy is involved, and we wouldn't have him any other way!
Allie Murphey
Bridesmaid / Heart Expert
Our friend group would not be complete with this beautiful lady (and mother to be to a beautiful baby girl!!). It only took one night for their friendship to take off, and it's only been growing since. While spending the night at a friends house during band camp, Allie and Sam stayed up until 5am talking about every subject you could imagine (and got zero sleep). Since that day, Allie has been Sam's ride or die, and holds a close place in her heart. Together, her, Carly, and Sam have had countless adventures together. Allie is now a nurse at Duke's Cardiology floor, and normally can be found saving lives. One of the most fun and genuine people to ever walk this planet, Sam is so incredibly grateful to have her in her life, and support on this special day.
Jermaine Grimes
Groomsman / Coach
Joe's Brother from another Mother, JG. These two have been friends since they were about 8 years old and spent many hours terrorizing basketball courts and football fields all over Johnston County. Jermaine has a younger brother the same age as Ian, so there were many afternoons spent playing basketball, football, or just playstation as kids. He may seem like he is the quiet type but dont let that fool you, Jermaine has one of the best senses of humor around. Always humble and has the right words of encouragment it only makes sense that he has become a coach and is being the role model kids need in school. He recently got married to his lovely wife, Courtney, who is just as awesome as Jermaine!
Korie Harned
Bridesmaid / expert in talking back
Korie is my sister (-in-law, but who needs that part!). She is married to Joe's younger brother, Ian and they are new parents to their adorable nephew, Anderson. Sam was so excited when her and Ian moved back to Hubert, NC so they could be closer to each other. Joe and Ian get along great, but Sam would argue that her and Korie get along ever better. Korie is a Speech Pathologist and spends her days helping kids learn to talk back (but with proper pronunciation). Korie is a great listener, gives the best advice, and no matter what her and Sam always have fun together. She's also a ninja of organization, and execution and is a godsend when it comes to planning literally anything. We can’t wait to say I do with her by our side!
Caleb Williams
Groomsman / Brother
The Clobster! Caleb and Joe had known of each other through multiple mutual friends growing up but became tight when Caleb transfered to North Johnston High. Being an all around athlete, he made the transfer mainly for sports and they were both quarterbacks. Where most would think that would spark a big rivalry, it became a strong friendship (a brotherhood if you will). It wasnt until they were out of highschool did they really start spending a lot of time together shooting pool, fishing at the pond, or playing basketball into the wee hours of the morning. Caleb has a great head on his shoulders, has been through some tough situations and only gets better from it. Watch out if Will and Caleb get together..... things usually get a little wild.
Corrine LeBlanc
Bridesmaid / food connoisseur
A food afficieando (seriously, she has a Masters Degree in Food Science), and one of the most laid back people I have ever met, Corrine has one of the best outlooks on life. She has her own motorcycle, loves to bike, hike, camp, and can make one mean waffle. I mean, I want to be like her when I grow up. Our bond only grew stronger when we started working together, and she made even the longest days fun and exciting. Corrine and I can laugh at literally anything together (which we did alot). She is starting a new and exciting chapter of her life and has moved to Texas for a great new job!
Buddy Lee
Groomsman / Hypeman
One of the first friends Joe had once his family moved to Pine Level from Georgia, their bond and brotherhood got stronger throughout the years. Scouts, sports, summers at the pool, or days at the farm/barn Buddy has always been there no matter what. Agruably the most interesting man he's ever met, (if you get a chance ask him about his squiggles) he will always have a good story for you but will also be there to listen when you need it. A jack of all trades and an eagle scout to boot, Buddy can do it all but he prefers to be known as Aiden and Addison's dad. He could be floating down a river on a camping trip in a kayak or he could be remodeling someones house... no matter where he might be, he's always your Buddy!
