In the summer of 2019, Brian started to grow fancy for Megan. Megan was going on a mission trip to Poland and this was the perfect time for Brian to make a move. Brian messaged Megan and said her faith impressed him. Megan was in Poland for 10 days and came back completely forgetting to message Brian back (jet lag..) Eventually, she reached out and they hit it off for a couple of days. School was starting in just a few days. Megan asked Brian to go to lunch with her. But Megan had never been to lunch with a boy. The day of, Megan was a ball of anxiety and decided she was going to ditch Brian for lunch. Walking out to her car she made direct eye contact with Brian and drove away. Immeditaly feeling the guilt of ditching Brian, she texted him and he picked her up. For the hour lunch period, they drove around and talked all about Megan's recent mission trip. From there, they began dating on October 17th and haven't looked back since!

Megan had told Brian in February that she really had hoped to get engaged on her birthday this year. Megan continued to bug the heck out of Brian to try to fish out all of the details. Eventually, Brian had enough and started to lie to Megan. Convincing her that it wasn't happening. After weeks of trying to fish it out of Brian, the weekend of Megan's birthday came. Megan was so carefree she insisted on taking a nap on the day of the engagement. Brian was persistent and made her wear something nice and curl her hair. Convincing her that they would be taking photos in wildflowers (Megan's favorite). Turns out when we got there, Bailey, Payton, and Tyler were all hiding when Brian popped the question. When the engagement was over Megan was surprised by her family and friends with an engagement party. It was a wonderful birthday and engagement weekend!

Throughout the entirety of Brian and Megan's relationship, they have been long-short distance. Shortly after becoming a couple Brian moved to Phoenix for the summer. Later that year he began going to NAU for construction management. The next year Megan began college at GCU. This year both Brian and Megan are still at their colleges. When Megan isn't in school she is in Payson and Brian in Flagstaff. While it has been hard, we are so excited to spend every day together soon!
