Catie and Mike met at WPI in a "Intro to European Social History" course. She gave him her number after he asked her to study for their upcoming exam. Catie studied history, Mike studied Catie. Toward the end of freshmen year, they started dating. It was Relay for Life weekend so neither one of them remembered the exact date, but luckily they'll have a new date to celebrate next year! In the past 10 years, they have had some great adventures... traveled to Namibia, graduated from WPI, Mike got a MS degree from WPI, Catie got a PhD from Georgetown, moved in together, adopted two fur babies (Fuzz Aldrin and Marie Purrie) and some cool stuff in between. After Catie moved in with Mike during the pandemic, they were pretty sure this was a long term thing. Mike proposed with a Montana sapphire after a fancy date night (with the help of Fuzz and Marie). Catie said "wait what" a bunch before finally saying "YES!"
We're so excited to celebrate with you!! The night before the wedding we'll be hanging out at the hotel bar. Feel free to stop by and say hi! On Sunday the busses leave at 4:00 and will bring you back at 10:00 or 10:30. If you don't want to take the bus but have too much fun, feel free to leave your car and we'll retrieve it the next morning. If any questions pop up throughout the weekend, just let Manda know.
