It was a classic boy meets girl, girl has boyfriend, boy pursues girl for a year, girl breaks up with boyfriend, and then they fall in love story. Before Evan and Sierra were dating, Evan introduced Sierra to his family during his fraternity's family weekend. They were (understandably) confused as to why they were being introduced to a random girl. Evan's friends happily supplied the answer that Evan really wished she was his girlfriend and had been going after her for months. Nearly a year later, Evan and Sierra were sitting in the grass outside of the fraternity house where she asked him what his intentions were with her. He replied by pointing to her left hand ring finger and said "it involves this finger".

In the last 3 years together, Sierra and Evan have moved in to their first apartment together, their second apartment together (both in Tucson), moved to Thousand Oaks, CA, and now live in Scottsdale, AZ. When they first met, Sierra and Evan were shocked to learn that they lived in the same condominium complex off-campus of University of Arizona. They spent 2017 just doors apart but not together. In 2018, they had started dating but Sierra moved to an apartment down the street. In the summer of 2019, they decided to live together in the original condominium with Evan's roommate, "Pickford". They discovered their love for cooking, Gin and Tonic, and Dominos Pizza here. They spent the summer there while both working full-time internships. After Evan graduated from the University of Arizona, he chose to stick around while Sierra finished her senior year. They moved into a rented housing complex near Sierra's old apartment in fall 2019 and lived with Nadia, Emily, and Gavin. It was at this house that they found a love for (or obsession with) escape rooms. When Sierra graduated and started her Master's degree with Pepperdine University, they moved to Thousand Oaks, California. Although they moved to the Los Angeles area during lockdown, they were able to visit beaches, go hiking, explore downtown, and liked to spend their Saturdays outside enjoying their weather and nature. They are now living in Scottsdale, AZ and excited to see where life will take them! Their weekends have been fulling of wedding prep but they consider themselves so blessed to be surrounded by so many friends and family. From Medival Times, to Old Town Scottsdale, to lots of Goodwills (sorry Evan), they are discovering more and more to do every week!

Evan and Sierra adopted Stella during the summer of 2019 after Sierra had moved in with Evan and Pickford. They took a trip to Pima Animal Care Center in Tucson and saw little kitten Stella sitting at the back of the kennel staying still and quiet while the rest of her litter was playing. They decided that she was the perfect new member of the family! Sierra and Evan competed to be Stella's favorite but Sierra ultimately won (aided by some soft blankets and forced cuddles). Stella now enjoys snuggling up next to a blanket and going on walks outside. In March of 2020, Sierra made a PowerPoint presentation to influence Evan into adopting a puppy. It was extremely convincing and expertly crafted because less than a week later, they had Sophie. Evan and Sierra were excited to show off their "English Cream Golden Retriever" to Sierra's family until her older brother, Skyler, pointed out that she is in fact not an "English Cream Golden Retriever" but actually a great Pyrenees. 85+ pounds and lots of barking later, she is loved for her true identity! Sophie loves protecting her family from people walking by, playing with toys, eating anything and everything, attacking Stella when she’s bad, and sassily talking back to her paw-rents. Sierra and Evan call the pets “the girls” and love having them. They are both stage 10 clingers but it’s adorable so the constant barks/meows for attention are welcome.
