Sevaughn and Maddie met in their freshmen year English class when they were assigned to sit at the same table. They could not stop talking to each other even when instructed to do so. After a stern warning from Mrs. Woods, Sevaughn still continued to talk to Maddie landing them both in detention (Maddie's first ever detention). Maddie was furious while Sevaughn was delighted. In detention, they continued to talk and from that day on Sevaughn and Maddie have been getting in trouble together ever since. Ten years and 2 degrees from ASU later they have built a full life of adventure, inside jokes, and one very spoiled dog named Presley. Now, surrounded by the people who have cheered them on since that first day in English class, Sevaughn and Maddie are ready to start their next chapter- still laughing, teasing, and getting into a little bit of trouble together.
