Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We encourage guests to join us in embracing the medieval fantasy theme; otherwise, cocktail attire is preferred. Please avoid wearing any denim or casual attire at the ceremony or reception. If you aren't sure where to start with a fantasy outfit, I have attached some links below. Please be mindful that unless an item states that it is a full outfit, it is likely a singular piece. Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The reception will be held indoors at the Swift Creek event hall. The ceremony will be in a clearing outside the event hall. Virginia in September is usually quite pleasant; around mid-seventies during the day, with the temperature dropping in the evenings. Please plan accordingly. For those with mobility issues, there is a slight incline down to the clearing where the ceremony is taking place. The event hall has a ramp for easy access.

Are you reserving a hotel block?

Answer

At this time, we have decided not to reserve a block. There are several hotel options nearby, and we suggest booking as soon as you can.

Question

Will children be allowed?

Answer

We know many of our friends and family have recently welcomed new additions to their family and we want to ensure they can celebrate with us. We plan to hire a caretaker for the ceremony to watch over the little ones. While the bride and groom request that no children be at the ceremony, they gladly invite them to the reception.
