The Farmer takes a Wife!

2020 was a rough year for everyone. For Seth and Stephanie, it was the beginning of their wedding journey. Seth approched Mr. and Mrs. Smith early February 2020 to ask for their blessing. With their approval, Seth began the process of obtaining the ring. Shortly after getting this process started, including having the ring made in Californa, the shutdown occured. Seth was sweating bullets as the shutdowns left uncertainty as to when he would get the ring back from the jeweler and propose. Months later, Seth finally got the completed ring. From there he planned and began his elaborate proposal: a month-long scavenger hunt to throw her off. For each of these events, a number was to be recorded. Week 1: Measure the diameter of the red ring “alarm” in LaGrange. This was after their first date at a restaurant since the pandemic started. Week 2: Revisted where the second date occured, Mussel & Burger Bar, and remember the second digit of the longitude of this location. Week 3: Visited Mulberry Orchard for the Farmer’s Market to purchase “Sissy Salsa.” Drove by Sissy Dog’s house (a dog Seth + Stephanie previously reunited with her family) and remember the 3rd number of the house address. Week 4: Stargazing to view the Perseids Meteor Shower. 4 meteors were seen amongst the sea of stars. The day after the Meteor Shower, Seth and Stephanie went to Feast BBQ for a nice lunch. Once home a treasure chest with a lock was on the counter. Upon reviewing the clues and opening the lock with the code, Stephanie found her dream handbag (GIVENCHY Antigonia), a custom Tervis cup, inside of the cup, her custom Tacori sapphirre engagement ring. If you ask Stephanie “what is your favorite part of the proposal?” she will tell you “all of it was excellent, but me reminding Seth he technically didn’t ask me anything, and him responding with ‘are you interested in being wifed up?’ is up there. It perfectly captures our loving and carefree relationship.”
