There are many different entrances around town to get on the parkway - GPS for the one closest to where you are staying! Take a drive and enjoy the vistas. Hikes we love off the parkway: Mt. Pisgah Trail, Craggy Gardens, Graveyard Fields, + Black Balsam Knob
Stunning house and grounds -- day passes are $65. Fall is the busy season here in Asheville, so plan ahead if you want to make the Biltmore part of your trip!
Our favorite brunch spot -- awesome biscuits and specials with a jam, honey, and butter bar. There's almost always a line but it's worth it and goes pretty quickly!
We love hanging at Sierra Nevada -- huge brewery and grounds, great beer (our favorite beer is the Pale ale) and food (pretzel and cheese & duck fat fries are a must). Tour is free, but books up fast! About 20 minutes south of downtown.
Not your average pub food --- really really good pub food! Seth loves the wings (drizzled in queso)
Mary's favorite restaurant in Asheville -- hands down. Delicious Caribbean inspired food. Try the Nine Mile dish and don't forget the garlic bread!!
One of our favorite breweries -- our collective favorite beer is Bed of Nails
We love this spot right on the French Broad river Seth's favorite beer: 1554 Black Lager & Fat Tire (& La Folie if they have it) Mary's favorite beer: Voodoo Ranger 8 Hop Pale Ale (& the Bretta IPA if they have it)
Great atmosphere - try the Farmer Ted's Cream Ale, Brown Bear Brown Ale, and Mother Trucker
an Asheville staple + also the oldest brewery in town -- try the Gaelic Ale
Cool atmosphere -- try the Keeper's Veil and Donut Stout (if they have it)
They mean it when they say their hot is HOT..beware!
Yummy BBQ food!
