Wedding Party

Meet some of the people that we love most in our lives!

Katarina Berndt

Maid of Honor

Kirsten was introduced to Kat on her sister’s very first day on this earth, and while their childhood bond wasn’t always the picture of sisterly closeness, it laid the groundwork for a unique relationship. When they spent two years together at College of the Ozarks, their connection evolved in its own special way. Those years weren’t without their challenges, but they also laid the foundation for a connection that’s grown stronger over time. No matter what, one thing is certain, they’ll never be able to get rid of one another.

Sawyer Lingafelter

Best Man

Seth and Sawyer met on September 14, 2009 mere hours after Sawyer's birth. Before that day, Seth was the only boy with 3 sisters and he was elated to finally have a brother. Over the years, Seth and Sawyer spent most of their time together pretending they were WWE Superstars on the trampoline in the backyard where Seth was crowned champion nearly every time. Today, they bond over their shared love of basketball and enjoy one another's quick wit and comedic timing.

Julianne Petersen

Bridesmaid

Julianne and Kirsten met in the kindergarten church nursery, and what started as toddler-sized playdates quickly grew into a lifelong friendship. From filming iMovies in junior high to bonding over the joys (and pains) of homeschooling, they've shared laughter, awkward phases, and endless inside jokes. Even though they've spent most of the last five years living in different states, their connection has never wavered — proof that true friendship isn’t measured by miles. Julianne has been a constant source of encouragement, hilarity, and heart, and Kirsten couldn't imagine this day without her by her side.

Luke Ballard

Groomsman

If you have not heard of Luke Ballard, google him. Actually, lets save you some time; he is the 2023 BFO World Champion bullfighter. Luke can backflip over a literal bull so he is very fun at parties. Seth and Luke had a very dramatic and rocky friendship until high school where the two realized they had a lot more reasons to be friends than to be enemies. Seth and Luke shared a core memory together when they won their high school basketball league championship in 2020. Luke and Seth are a state apart today but whenever they are able to see one another it is like they never left.

Rae Woods

Bridesmaid

Kirsten met her best friend Rae at the ripe age of 2 in church nursery, and they’ve been causing mild chaos together ever since. From dress-up and swim team days to Fayetteville trips and countless hours spent rock climbing, they've built a friendship on shared joy, laughter, and card games. On one occasion, Kirsten may have almost set Rae’s apartment on fire, but true friendship means laughing through the flames. After 22 years of laughter, adventure, and unshakable loyalty, Kirsten is thrilled to have Rae by her side for the biggest adventure yet.

Jadon Janaros

Groomsman

Seth and Jadon met in their first semester of college and both thought "yeah I don't like that guy" about one another. By the grace of God, they were put in a workstation together and became inseparable rather quickly. So much so that they became roommates right after college. Through shared struggle and accomplishment, Seth and Jadon realized that they are more alike than they originally thought. Jadon has one less spleen than the average person but is significantly better at lacrosse than you, the reader, is.

Brooke Rasmussen

Bridesmaid

Kirsten met Brooke in college, and from the start Brooke has been one of the most steady, encouraging friends in her life. They’ve shared so many special memories together, from a spring break trip to Colorado to the joy standing with Brooke on her wedding day. Brooke has a way of making people feel deeply loved, supported, and valued, and Kirsten feels so grateful to now have her by her side for such a meaningful season of life.

Toby Foltz

Groomsman

Seth's second and final college roommate, Toby was first his Resident Assistant in his sophomore dorm. Seth got to know Toby through room checks (which he passed 100% of) and pickup basketball. Toby can beat NBA player Ben Simmons in a 3-point contest which is less impressive than it sounds. Toby has one of those jobs that you would not understand unless you have a business major. Seth and Toby are great friends and have been very lucky to become friends with one another.

Shayna Lingafelter

Bridesmaid

Shayna is the only one of Seth's siblings to remember his first days on this earth. She is Seth's oldest sibling which is why she is his favorite sister. Shayna was Seth's first babysitter and arguably the best one he ever had. Seth and Shayna enjoy one another's straight-forward approach to life and bond over many shared interests. Shayna is a 1st grade teacher of extremely well behaved children.

Jaren Adams

Groomsman

Jaren is the other of Seth's post-college roommates. Seth and Jaren met at their first day of work in the college cafeteria when Jaren approached Seth and struck up a conversation about his Illinois COVID mask. The two of them became friends through the struggle of lockdowns and rules that kept them super safe. Jaren and Seth have hundreds of stories about one another that will be sure to make you giggle. Jaren can play the guitar, mandolin, a bit of the piano, and the jaw harp. We are glad he chose to grace us with his attendance in the wedding party.

Sierra Snudden

Bridesmaid

Sierra made Seth an uncle which is why she is, in fact, his favorite sister. Seth joined Sierra's life without her permission when she was just under 2 years old, something she is still trying to forgive him for. Eventually, Seth and Sierra found a way to get along and even become friends. Sierra can take credit for keeping Seth alive through his first two years of high school and Seth will never pay off that debt to her. Sierra is married to the love of her life, Clayton Snudden who Seth approves of.

Sho Miner

Groomsman

Shelomi or "Sho" is another one of Seth's best friends from college. Seth and Sho became friends after a summer in the Tilmon Fitness Center at College of the Ozarks. Did they lift any weights? No, but they did each earn themselves the nicknames "Mr. Tilmon" which they proudly share. After that summer, Seth and Sho were the best of friends and continue to be to this day. Sho has an uncle who played in the NBA and Sho, himself, could have chosen to go pro but he decided instead to work for the Herzog foundation.

Shelby Lingafelter

Bridesmaid

Shelby is the sister who made Seth an older brother. She is his favorite sister because of that fact. Seth introduced Shelby to bullying from a young age because, as her brother, he knew that she needed to know how to be tough. Other than her training, Seth and Shelby are the resident Illinois Basketball fanatics in the Lingafelter family. Shelby goes to college where she has made many friends in part due to her wonderful personality but mostly because of Seth's teachings.

Gage McDonald

Groomsman

Seth and Gage met, like many of Seth’s friends, on the basketball court. They shared many moments watching the varsity from the bench until their time came to join the fun. One of their best moments came when Gage received a technical foul and Seth received a warning for congratulating Gage while he was being scolded by the referee. After high school, Seth and Gage spent 3 years together as roommates in college where they watched many basketball games together once again. Gage is married to one of Kirsten’s best friends, Kara who introduced Seth and Kirsten to one another.

Selah Lingafelter

Bridesmaid

Selah is the youngest of Seth's sisters. She is a varsity basketball player and a true competitor which is the main reason why she is Seth's favorite sister. In November of 2012, a 10 year old Seth met Selah for the first time and thought "what a unique name." Now, he has read his Bible more and understands that its actually a really cool name and feels silly for that thought. Selah loves sports, her friends, and she has been voted "most likely to succeed" within the Lingafelter family.

Jude Lingafelter

Groomsman

Jude entered Seth's life when he was exactly 3 months old. Jude was originally going to remain with the Lingafelter family short-term but quickly became an irreplaceable part of the family. Seth and Jude maintained a best-friendship for the next few years and it continued as Seth went off to Missouri. Jude will beat you at soccer or in a footrace. Seriously, try your luck.
