Train
Long Island Railroad
If you are flying into JFK or LGA, you can ride the Long Island Railroad to Port Jefferson. If you want to take trips around Long Island, such as going to further east to the Hamptons, we would recommend renting a car (although it is still accessible by train!). If you are interested in visiting NYC as well, the Long Island Railroad is a great option to easily access Manhattan and Brooklyn.
