Heather and I met on our way to start an adventure on Disney on Ice. We became roommates on tour and spent all our time together, living, cooking, and working together. She became my family. After tour we have remained best friends and spend as much time together as we can manage. Heather is an amazing photographer (who took all of our engagement photos, not to mention most of the photos of me from the past 12 years), and a loving wife and mother.
Caleb Selby
Best Man
Caleb is my identical twin brother. We met in the womb when he was eating all my food, leaving only leftovers for me. We grew up together playing sports, fishing and hunting. We spend as much time together as time, physical distance, and the limited hunting seasons allow.
Lacey Beairsto

Lacey is my little sister. I loved to hold and take care of Lacey as a baby. Now that she is all grown up (not to mention recent college grad!) we are friends who take care of each other. Lacey graduates from CSU in Winter 2022 with a degree in hospitality management.
Josh Selby

Josh is my older brother. Like my relationship with Caleb we grew up hunting, fishing, and hiding from land whales together. Josh is five years older than me, so he was always able to cover for us when we had to bend the truth with Mom and Dad, and he is always there to answer any one of life's questions. I consider myself lucky that he is my older brother. *Land whales are a fictional creature that Doug invented to torture his children.

Althea is my niece. Since she was born, she has taken up a large part of my heart. I love her so much and value all the time I get to spend with this sweet, fun, thoughtful girl. Althea is a wonderful sister, pet owner, student, and soccer player.
Jake Austin

Jake and I were in the same grade growing up and our first shared class was third grade. We were partners for school projects whenever possible which includes our genius steam powered boat that I had to shove under water since it caught on fire in his parent's kitchen sink. We have been friends ever since. Jake has dated my sister Rachel for several years and they live in Loveland, CO together. I'll love Sir Jacob until the end of time.
Gabby Thomason

Gabby and I have been friends since middle school. We grew up together and have many amazing memories. Even when life put physical distance between us, we have stayed close friends. Gabby and I usually spend the holiday season together, checking out Christmas tree lights, watching our favorite Christmas movies, and ringing in the new year. Gabby is now a very successful physical therapist in California.
Chris Kruidenier

Chris and I met in the fourth grade at Galeton Elementary. He became friends with Caleb first and I later stole him as a better friend and we eventually roomed together freshman year of college. Despite our physical distance now, we stay in touch by gaming and hanging out together whenever time and space permit. Short hair or long hair, it's the same Chris to me.
Mariah Braxton

Mariah and her family opened up their home to me for my first professional skating show in Maryland. Mariah and I ended up rooming together for the entire summer. We have many amazing memories together from our time at the beach. Mariah and I have stayed in touch and trade off visiting each other whenever we can get away from work. Mariah lives in Washington DC and is a very successful consultant.
Matt Sens

Matt picked me for an internship at Boulder Heart in Boulder, CO and later hired me. He was my first boss after graduating college. I quickly realized he would be a lifelong friend, not just a boss. I have turkey hunted with Matt and I have always stayed in touch with him. Matt invited Jenna and I on our first real vacation together when we started dating. I'll stay in touch with Matt until the day I leave this physical body.
Sam Selby

Sam is my soon to be sister-in-law. Sam is married to Josh Selby. Sam and I have been able to spend a lot of quality time together at the Selby farm. Sam is such a loving, sweet and wonderful person and I feel very lucky to be part of her family. We have shared some fun adventures, camping, fishing and just hanging out. I look forward to making many more memories together in the coming years. Sam works for the Adams 12 School District as an instructional coach for teachers.

I first met Ryan at our respective interviews to matriculate PA school at DMU in Iowa. While waiting nervously to be interviewed we extensively discussed the Minnesota Vikings and Adam Thielen. We both got accepted and the rest is history. You could say our friendship is golden.
Rachel Selby

Rachel is my soon to be sister-in-law. Rachel is youngest of the Selby clan. We have spent time together in Fort Collins before we moved, at the Selby farm, and even at our home in Mesa, CO. I feel lucky to get to be a part of their family. Rachel is back in school at CSU for social work.
Logan Driscoll

I first met Logan at the beginning of PA school in Des Moines. He is one of the most personable and kind gentlemen that I know. He and his wife Kenzie were part of my six person study group and we spent countless hours in each other's company. We stay in touch and game as much as work and life's responsibilities permit.
Stephanie Yaden

Stephanie is my mom's best friend and I count her as one of my best friends too. Stephanie and Ed always have an open door for both Seth and I. Stephanie and my mom met when Alexis and I skated together, and Noah (my younger brother) was causing trouble in Alexis class. Stephanie is the person we call if we can't get ahold of our mom, and is truly part of our family.
Ben Carmack

Ben and I are both from Northern Colorado, but did not meet until PA school in Des Moines. Like Logan and Ryan, he was in my study group and we spent countless hours drawing on white boards and arguing about glutathione. Ben was my most reliable fishing partner in Iowa. We've even been on a few backpacking trips together here in Colorado. He lives in Iowa now, but I look forward to future backpacking trips together.
