Seth and I met playing pick up basketball at Skibo Gym during the Spring of our sophomore year at Carnegie Mellon. We needed some extra bodies on the court, so Ali and Jacki invited some of the football players that they knew from classes and the training room. I was matched up with Seth and we introduced ourselves to each other. I didn't think twice about him until he and his friends came back to play a few days later. We were matched up again, and Seth said, "Hi Jen. How are you?" Apparently that's all it takes to impress me. I am terrible at names and thought he was so amazing to have remembered who I was. So later that night I was sitting at Skibo Cafe eating dinner with my friends, and I told them I kind of liked that Seth guy. After telling my girlfriends that I had a crush, the romance took on a life of its own... ...An extra body is a great description of my basketball game, but my friends and I were just there to help out. I didn't think too much about our interaction until about a week later when my friends and I were hosting a party. A number of the womens basketball players were coming and my friend Billy's girlfriend, Emily, was bringing Jen. An hour or so after the party started, Jacki pulled me aside and told me that Jen had a crush on me. This certainly came as a surprise to me but I was happy because I thought she was cute. Fifteen minutes later, Billy pulls me aside to tell me the same news that Jacki had revealed to me. Twenty minutes after that, Emily wanted to talk but before she could say anything I said, "Let me guess...Jen likes me." Clearly our friends thought we would be a good match. After talking to Jen throughout the night, I realized that our friends were correct. One date turned into two and as they say, "the rest is history."
