Maid of Honor
Jenn and Heather met in a 10th grade pottery class and became fast friends. They bonded through late-night walks through the golf course, impromptu street soccer games, and intense games of Rummy Tiles and Bananagrams. They roomed together their junior and senior year as undergrads at the University of Michigan, continuing their late-night walks throughout the Ann Arbor campus. Since Jenn has moved to Boston to work as a computer science engineer at MIT, these best friends have continued to spend their free time together, whether it's walking along the beach at Cape Cod, hiking in New Hampshire, or cross-county skiing in Midland. Jenn has been present for many of the major life events throughout Heather's life, so it is only fitting for her to be present as maid of honor at her wedding.
Best Man
Aaron and Seth have been friends before they could even remember, fighting as only brothers would. Yet, sticking up for each other against anyone else. Although a few thousand miles separate the two, when together, no time seems to be lost. From playing soccer, RC cars, to sheep herding, snowboarding, counter strike, and hiking in the Sierra Nevadas, these two always find a way to have a great time. It is easy to tell how important Aaron is to Seth as a life-long friend. As with Seth's Bar Mitzvah, Aaron will be right next to Seth on his wedding day, giving Seth his support and being present at the most important of times.
Bridesmaid
Heather has truly enjoyed getting to know Alissa, Seth's younger sister. The two have had the opportunity to bond over the past two years at the Wettman family gathering in Grand Haven, MI for the fourth of July. Not only is Alissa a sweetheart, but it doesn't take much to partake in an interesting conversation with her. She is currently living in Japan, teaching elementary and middle school students how to speak English, while adventuring throughout Niigata prefecture and attending the many festivals the small town, Murakami, has to offer. Heather is so excited to finally have a sister to spend time with!
Groomsman
Mike is Heather's older brother. Seth has had the great pleasure of getting to know him over the last two years. Although he is very busy with his roofing business, he makes time to spend with them at family events. Whether it’s talking sports or talking shop, Seth enjoys having another guy to talk with, as the two are outnumbered by Heather’s numerous female cousins. Seth is happy to have Mike as both a friend and a groomsman!
Bridesmaid
Heather and Emily met during medical school, where Heather discovered she actually had a long-lost twin. Not only is Emily a wonderful confidant and perhaps the kindest person to walk the planet (she is Canadian after all), Emily always knows just how to brighten Heather's day. Her similarities in approach to life, studying, and thought processes have made Emily someone Heather has trusted and turned to innumerable times during medical school, and will be someone she continues to turn to during the rigors of residency. It's no wonder then that Seth and Emily's husband, Sunny, have also become friends and love to discuss finance, the business world, and what it's like to date a medical student!
Groomsman
Jonathan and Seth were both Hall Representatives of Anacapa at UCSB. Their friendship grew as they continued to have classes and activities together. Eventually they became lab partners for Chemical Engineering Labs junior and senior years. The would find themselves doing interesting experiments while listening to Kanye West or Jay Z. As one of the few who remained in Santa Barbara after graduation, Seth would come visit John every Thanksgiving, as Seth was close by in Oxnard.
Bridesmaid
Sara and Heather both attended the University of Michigan for undergrad, but didn't actually meet until they found out they would be attending medical school together the following year. After that, the girls bonded over a game of Jenga in the SLC when they realized they were both biology study group leaders. Since that time, Sara has become one of Heather's best friends and favorite future internal medicine colleagues. Not only does Sara have one of the kindest hearts, but the two girls always have the greatest time when they are together. Whether its attending a holiday light show together or just gabbing on the couch, Sara's pleasant and easy-going attitude makes for the best of times.
Groomsman
Josip lived in the dorm room next to Seth in Anacapa. They took many classes together and studied together for many of the classes in engineering. Sophomore year, Josip and Seth were roommates living in the apartment off Sabado Tarde. They only had a few classes together, but they were still having a blast. Junior and senior year they lived in apartments separated only by the level. There were fun times growing up and enjoying the perfect weather that Santa Barbara had to offer.
Bridesmaid
Elizabeth and Heather met on the first day of medical school and within five minutes were the best of friends and over-sharing life stories. They spent their first year of medical school as partners in the clinic, followed by late nights spent lying and studying on the library floor. The two made the best of a "work-life balance", working hard studying together for their board exams, and playing hard hiking throughout the Colorado wilderness. Come third year, the two lived together during their clinical rotations. It goes without saying that Heather would not have made it through the rigors of medical school without Elizabeth by her side, Elizabeth teaching her to be a dreamer and more courageous in life.
Groomsman
Zack and Seth met in Saginaw Michigan, interning and living together. They bonded over being Eagle Scouts and playing sports and games after work. After being hired into Dow Corning, they spent many evenings together along with their fellow catalysts enjoying life. As life progressed, so did the topics, including home ownership and engineering. Over the years, Seth relied on Zack as a dependable friend in the bitter North. Seth was sad to see Zack move to sunny CA, but excited for his new adventure.
