WE ARE IN LOVE!!!

In 2023 we moved in to same apartment complex and became good friends over the course of a year, with lots of fun adventures like camping or being part of the Hunger Games Documentary (Seth was Haymitch and Hailey was Effie). Toward the end of June 2024, we went with a few friends to Lake Powell for the weekend. We put all of our gear into a canoe and an inflatable kayak and set out by the light of the moon, finding a perfect crack in the rocks where we set up camp for a few days. We had the best time with our friends, jumping and swimming and enjoying the beauty of Powell. On the drive back to Provo, Seth took the late night driver shift and Hailey was wide awake, so she took shotgun with the specific role of keeping Seth awake. Between 2:30 and 5:00 a.m. we chatted about everything and nothing all at once, saying whatever we could to stay awake. It was a fun, easy conversation. We made it back to Provo safely and later that day, Seth texted Hailey that he had a lot of fun chatting during the drive and thanking her for keeping him awake. She read the message and thought, "aw, he is such a sweet guy! What a kind message." and didn't think any more of it. It wasn't until later that day when Seth texted her again that Hailey began to wonder if something else was up. The next day, Seth asked her on a date and we hung out every night after that! The first date was on July 5, 2024 and we went rock climbing, ate Greek gyros, and played Monopoly Deal. It was perfect! We started dating not long after that! In September of 2025, we went on a study abroad together, and it was incredible! One of the highlights was the time spent in Greece. We were in Kavala on October 29th, a cute little Greek town on the ocean. We ate gyros for lunch then climbed to the top of a castle, where Seth proposed!!! It was magical and perfect and one of the best days of our lives! Of course we had to celebrate with gelato afterwards! A few weeks later, we were at the Sea of Galilee when Seth casually slipped something on Hailey's finger. The real ring had arrived, made by the same jeweler who made jewelry for the King of Jordan! It was a perfect surprise (and not many people can say they got proposed to twice)! We are so excited for the story to continue! We have had so many wonderful adventures and have been supported by the most incredible village in every way possible. This celebration is a tribute to that, as well as to the sweet love we have for each other.
