We met at our law school orientation. During that time, we talked a bit, but nothing came from it, at least initially. Once school started, we were not in any of the same classes. At the time, I was trying to focus on school so I wasn't looking for a relationship. A mutual friend encouraged me to talk to her more. Once studying was over, we chatted about school, life, and values. We discovered that we shared the same interests and goals so we got along great. Since the day we met, she has had my back and has supported me and believed in me even when I didn't have the same faith in myself. It quickly became evident that everything felt natural when I was with her. One day, without being asked, she made me deviled eggs. I joke with her that that was when I knew, but in reality, it was everything about her.
Seth and I met during law school orientation in August 2021. We engaged in small talk here and there, but nothing more than cordial conversation. As law school started and we got into the swing of things, Seth and I started talking more, usually about politics, religion, and other deep, worldview topics. I considered him a good friend and, although I could not articulate it at the time, I trusted him and liked him more than a friend. Everything changed in October, it felt as though it something more than just a friendship, but a bond that was meant to be. Throughout our journey together, we have supported each other in our endeavors and are excited to continue our life together.
Little did we know that a simple Christmas gift would help determine where Seth would propose to Destiny. Yes, significant otter socks, which Destiny Purchased for Seth for Christmas 2022, lead to Seth proposing at the Peaks of Otter Lodge near the Peaks of otter in Lynchburg, Virginia.
If you have questions, concerns, or would just like to say hello before the big day, please feel free to email the Bride and Groom at dmgeorge@liberty.edu. Please RSVP by April 5, 2024.
