"I have found the One whom my soul Loves."

From Carlee’s Perspective: “Are you ready to be a lobster mom?” That is the first text that I ever received from Seth after I liked his post about wanting to adopt a grocery store lobster with someone. It was February 7th 2022, and I was working when I received the notification that Seth had messaged me. I eagerly responded thus changing my life forever. Our first official date was February 13th, 2022. We sat and talked for 5 hours throughout that first date. Conversation was so easy between us as we learned more about each other. We had so much in common and realized quickly that we had an extremely strong connection. On April 10th 2022, Seth took me to the beautiful town of Harper’s Ferry in West Virginia. Sitting alongside the banks of the Shenandoah River, Seth asked me to be his girlfriend. I remember coming home that night and excitedly telling my sister that I had found the man that I was going to marry. From that day on, we never looked back. Hand in hand we began to take on life as a pair. I quickly learned about Seth’s knack for planning trips. We went all over Pennsylvania, and visited almost all of New England together. We spent long evenings studying, and early mornings in church together. We met each other’s families and planned double dates with each other’s friends. Out of all of the things that we had in common, we found that our faith and love for Christ was the biggest similarity in our relationship. Keeping our eyes fixed on Him, we proceeded in our relationship for almost two and a half years. Throughout the ups and downs, we remained there for each other. Seth supported me and showed me love in ways I didn’t know were possible. On June 8th 2024, Seth suggested that we go to Harper’s Ferry again, as we hadn’t been there since April of 2022. I happily agreed and looked forward to another day trip with the one that I loved. When we arrived, Seth took me back along the banks where he had asked me out two years ago. Standing there alongside that same river, Seth got down on one knee, and asked for my hand in marriage. Joined by our families, we began our newest journey of engagement. Ever since June 8th, we have focused ourselves on marriage and all of the preparation that goes into readying ourselves for this next big step. No matter what the future may hold, I cannot wait to experience it with Seth by my side as husband and wife. From Seth's Perspective: Our story began on a dating app, of all places. I had just moved to Pennsylvania to begin a new career, when I received a like on my profile from an absolutely beautiful girl named Carlee. Excitedly, I messaged her back. Little did I know, she would become my future wife. Our first date was simple; brunch at a local diner. It was evident to me from day one that we were meant to be together. On our first day trip, I asked her to be my girlfriend along the banks of the Shenandoah River in Harper’s Ferry, West Virginia. The longer we dated, the deeper we grew in love and faith. Each day, it has truly been a pleasure to know and love Carlee. She is the kindest, sweetest, selfless, and most caring person I have ever met. She exemplifies what it truly means to be a Godly woman. With the love and support of our families, on June 8th, 2024, I got down on one knee and asked Carlee to be my wife along the banks of the Shenandoah River. I am so excited to begin this new chapter of life with Carlee, and to continue to fall deeper and deeper in love with her. God has truly blessed me.
