We met our senior year of high school in ceramics class. One thing that I think really made him stand out to me was that he drove a cool truck. One Monday, Seth showed up to school on crutches with a broken ankle, and coincidently, I showed up that same Monday with a broken wrist. I thought this was my chance to break the ice and start talking to him. After a few days of awkwardly trying to make conversation, I started to talk about him to one of my friends. I had no idea that she was friends with his sister, Leah. She told Leah that I had a crush on her brother, then Leah told Seth and that is when I got a DM on instagram. The rest is history.
Two weeks before he proposed, we were suppose to go to the Carlsbad Flower Fields. I met him down there after work and we were going to go, but we got there after it had closed. We could see some of it from the street and were so amazed and knew we had to come back. Little did I know, this is when he decided he was going to propose. Seth planned a date for us to go to back two weeks after we saw it from the street. I had a little bit of a feeling that it was going to happen, but he acted so normal that I convinced myself that nothing was going to happen. We started by getting some lemonade and kettle corn and then began to walk around. I think I pointed out every flower to him as we passed them. Once we got to a certain point, he stopped and faced me, threw his glass and kettle corn on the floor and asked me if I knew what was happening. When he grabbed the ring box, I immediately started crying. Then, our families started cheering from behind some bushes which just made me cry more. It was one of the best days of my life and I wish I could live it over and over again.
