We’re eloping!

While we both grew up in Bristol, our paths didn’t cross until we came back home after college and landed jobs at the same bank!

After a Tennessee win, standing outside Neyland Stadium, Seth made things official: "Now she has to be a Tennessee fan, right?" The day after our first date and kiss, Seth sent me a picture of his positive COVID test—apologizing over and over, knowing we'd both be sick for the next several days. Definitely a first kiss to remember, and a funny story to tell. From the beginning, it was clear Seth was one of a kind. All I could tell my friends was how thankful I was for his parents, who raised someone so special. Similarly, I knew Brittany was the one when I saw her kindness and love for others in everything she did and said. We push each other to be better versions of ourselves, and we pray to keep a childlike love—full of humility and playfulness—at the heart of our future marriage.

After spending a few days in Savannah, GA, we made our way to Hilton Head Island to meet up with Seth’s brother, Kyle, and now wife, Anne Marie, who had just recently gotten engaged. One evening, after dinner, Kyle and Anne Marie mentioned they had booked a photographer for engagement photos. Later that night, Kyle “realized” the photographer’s rates were actually for a family of four, and since it was just the two of them, they suggested we could join in on the session if we wanted. Seth and I thought it would be nice since we didn’t have any professional photos together. When we arrived at the location, we all met the photographer and when it was finally our turn to take pictures, that’s when Seth looked at me and said, ‘Are you ready?’ before getting down on one knee. Cue the ugly tears – it was absolutely the best day ever!

We have decided to elope in Zion National Park – a dream come true and so perfectly us. Our wedding day will be intimate and something just for the two of us to enjoy. Afterward, we’ll return to Greenville, SC, and celebrate with a reception in the following weeks. More details to come!
