Seth and Alyssa met through an online Christian dating site in October of 2024. After a few months of many texts and long phone calls, they decided to meet in person. *This occurred in a public space and a photo of Seth was sent to Alyssa's mom to ensure proper identification if Alyssa was kidnapped* During the 2 weeks that Seth and Alyssa spent together in person, Seth nervously asked Alyssa's father's permission to date her, and made it official later that night on February 5th. Sadly, shortly after, Seth returned home to Tennessee, officially starting their long distance relationship. Over the course of their 1 year relationship, Seth and Alyssa took every opportunity they had to reunite in person - holidays, softball games, and long weekends. Then, the week before Christmas, Alyssa traveled to Tennessee to spend time with Seth and his family. Little did she know (even though she was very suspicious), Seth had a surprise planned. The afternoon of December 13th, Seth, Alyssa and his family traveled to a local park in Knoxville for family photos. Stepping into a beautiful tree cove, the family photos began. Without realizing it, one by one each family member slowly stepped out of the cove, until it was just Seth and Alyssa. Then, even though Alyssa slightly questioned it but didn't say anything, Seth's father handed her a late birthday present. Alyssa opened the gift to find a personalized bible with her first name and Seth's last name engraved on the front, along with that current date. Out of the corner of her eye, Alyssa saw a shadow of Seth getting down on one knee. VERY slowly, Alyssa turned around to see Seth with a ring box in his hand. While keeping excellent composure, Seth gave his speech, and asked Alyssa to marry him. As suspected, Alyssa said YES! Currently, Seth is working with the Liberty Flames softball team in Lynchburg, Virginia as the director of Pitching Development. Alyssa is working at the Neal Fitness Center in Muskegon, Michigan as a Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor, as well as with the YMCA as a cancer survivor Livestrong Coach. After the wedding, the newly weds plan to move to Knoxville, Tennessee. While there, Seth has the opportunity to work as a private trainer in a indoor softball facility, and Alyssa hopes to transfer to the local YMCA or work in the hospital rehab center.
