Eataly Chicago is walking distance from the wedding venue and is a great place to browse thousands of products imported from Italy while having a glass of wine or to grab lunch, coffee, or a snack.
Chicago’s free zoo! It’s one of Martha’s favorite spots in the city and is a quick bus or cab ride from the wedding venue/recommended hotels. Many of the exhibits are indoors so it’s a great spot to visit, even in January.
Another of Martha’s favorite spots! The Chicago Cultural Center, housed in the old public library, hosts rotating free art exhibits. The building itself is also worth a visit. It’s a gorgeous space with the world’s largest Tiffany Glass dome.
Seth says: “This one’s for the shoppers.” Water Tower place is one of Chicago’s best malls and has something for everyone, including the American Girl Store and LEGO World of you’re traveling with kids.
If the weather is good, or you’re up for braving the wind and cold, the Lakefront path is a great spot for a walk and has beautiful views of the city and lake.
One of the last feminist books stores in the US, and one of Martha's favorite places to shop. Women and Children First isn't downtown but it is accessible by public transportation or Uber/Lyft.
The largest Starbucks in the world is walking distance from the wedding hotel and venue. Even if you’re not a coffee fan, it’s worth checking out!
