We went bowling for our first date. We met at a parking lot so we could ride together. Seth had come over to my car to discuss who was going to drive and we both agreed that I would. On his way back to his truck to lock his doors he ran into his trailer hitch and smashed his shin so hard it sounded like a fender bender had just occurred somewhere in the parking lot (HAHA). He quickly turned around and gave me a thumbs up and said it didn't hurt. I was trying to keep my cool and hide my laughter. It was one of those times where you shouldn't laugh because you feel bad but can't hold it back.
Seth surprised me with a weekend trip to New York City just before Christmas. I've always talked about how seeing NYC during Christmas-time was on my bucket list. A couple days before we were to leave he showed me the confirmation for the tickets and I could not believe it. We flew down that Saturday morning and spent the day exploring the city. He had already planned dinner for the evening at an Italian restaurant right in Times Square. After an amazing meal we walked to Rockefeller Center to see the Big Christmas tree which was a must! After taking in the beauty of the giant tree we decided to go up to the Top of Rockefeller Center. They say it's the best view of the skyline because you are able to see the Empire State building. I had started to wonder if he was up to something because as we went through security he set off the alarms! As we arrived back at our hotel, I remember getting into the elevator to go up to the room and Seth pushed the wrong button for the floor our room was on. I told him he hit the wrong button and he looked at me with a grin and replied "no I didn't". My stomach flipped because I knew what was coming. We went out onto the rooftop lounge that was strung with tons of lights and had a perfect view the Empire State building right next to us. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was the perfect ending to the most wonderful and exciting day.
