Do I have to stay at the Occidental Punta Cana Resort?

Answer

You are welcome to book another resort, but there is a $50 day pass charge per person to access Occidental's property on the day of the wedding.

What day should I arrive in Punta Cana?

Answer

We are planning on arriving Wednesday, November 16 and leaving the following Wednesday. You are welcome to come whenever you would like and stay as long as you want.

What are the COVID travel requirements to go back to the US?

Answer

As of February 2022, in order to fly home, you need proof of a negative COVID test regardless of vaccination status. The hotel offers tests! Ask for your COVID test at the hotel reception desk before 11 am. Once you get tested, you will receive your results in the next 24 hours. What are the COVID travel requirements to get in to the Dominican Republic?

Answer

As of February 2022, you do not need to present a negative COVID-19 test or vaccination card upon arrival to enter the Dominican Republic. The airport may perform random COVID tests, but passengers who present a vaccination card or a negative PCR or antigen test taken within 72 hours prior to arrival in the Dominican Republic will be exempt from the random test. Do I need to be vaccinated for COVID?

Answer

No, but you will need to get a negative PCR test to return home or to do any excursions outside of the resort.

What are the COVID requirements if I wish to leave the resort for an excursion?

Answer

For entry to an establishment outside of the resort, you need proof of your vaccination OR a negative PCR test. If you are 18 and above, you need 3 doses of the vaccine.
