BEST.DAY.EVER.

Our first day as MR. & MRS.

Welcome to our wedding website – we’re so glad you’re here. We are so excited to celebrate our marriage surrounded by all the people we love! Yep, that's YOU! We’ve created this website as a helpful resource for all of the need-to-know details in the lead up to our big day. Here you’ll find our schedule of timings and venue directions and our wedding registry! We’d love for you to take a look around to learn more about our wedding day plans. Don’t forget to RSVP and let us know about any dietary preferences, too. And finally, thanks so much for all of your love and support so far! We wouldn't be US without all of you!

How We Met

October 2015

We met at Washburn University in our international business course. Throughout the semester, we had made a routine of making small talk ( aka flirting!) before class started and then the day came where I asked Jordan if I could borrow his notes on a class I had missed. With the help of my Alpha Phi sisters, I decided to do something bold and slip him my number on a post-it note perfectly placed in his notebook. The post-it was simply offering that we should get together sometime for a coffee as a thank you for him letting me borrow his notes! The next time I saw him, I nervously handed him back his notebook not knowing how he would react. I will never forget how quickly he texted me with a sweet message saying " I had this far fetched hope this would be in here"! I was DYING inside! Literally, bursting with joy! But I told myself to play it cool and NOT to text him back until after class! I probably re-typed 30 different responses before I settled on the right one. It was less than a week later that we had our first date. It only took three dates for Jordan to ask me to be his girlfriend. We both knew from the beginning that we had found something special!

The Proposal

December 21st, 2018

For Christmas, Jordan wanted to keep his gift simple- a nice dinner and ice skating at Crown Center. Let's be clear that Jordan is the one who is naturally gifted at literally any kind of sport he tries. Sadly, it takes way more effort and positive self-talk for me to be generously average at sports. Regardless, I strapped on my skates and can say proudly that I didn't fall one time. We genuinely had a great time. There were a lot of people at Crown Center that night and the combination of all the Christmas lights and holiday cheer made for a wonderful time to be there. We decided to walk around and check things out before our dinner reservation. Jordan perfectly timed our walk to stopping us right in front of the large fountains. He told me he loved me and wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. Next thing I knew he was reaching for his pocket and that's when it hit me. IT'S HAPPENING. THIS IS THE MOMENT. OMG! THAT'S A DIAMOND RING!! & by this point he was on one knee, asking me to marry him. YES! YES! YES! 1,000 X YES! Now, I can't remember if I verbalized the word yes, but I know I was shaking my head yes so that's all that really matters. We kissed, we hugged and people cheered! It was magical! We found a spot to sit down and gather ourselves! It was such a rush of emotions! Jordan glanced over and randomly saw his cousin Marie & her husband Zach! It was crazy Jordan had spotted them but it was so nice to share in the moment with family! We rushed off to our dinner reservation at Eddie V's on the plaza (you should go!). The place was swanky, the service was great and the food was SO good! We had dessert before our main course (thanks to our waitress)! We sipped champagne & ate fresh strawberries with whip cream and chocolate sauce! It was the perfect ending to a perfect proposal!
